The elections period begins Monday, December 3, 2018 and ends December 10, 2018 at 11:59 pm CST. 

Chapter members will receive an email from PMIGNO and a link to access the voting system.

The PMI Greater New Orleans (PMIGNO) Board of Directors is made up of dedicated volunteers who constantly strive to add value to the membership and to forward the best interests of the chapter. All members in good standing with the PMI Greater New Orleans Chapter have the right to participate in the election of chapter officers.

Each chapter member may submit only one ballot.  The elected Board of Director positions will serve either a one or two year term in office.  Each board member is authorized to recruit a committee of volunteers to provide support in his or her duties.

Meet our candidates!

President

Monique Maxmillion, MBA, PMP having served as the PresidentElect and VP of Administration for PMIGNO, she is interested in making sure the chapter is taken to the next level and will work hard as a change agent for the chapters growth.  Monique has over 18 years of experience in business process reengineering and project management with global experience delivering and implementing projects for a diverse set of industries; Healthcare, Government, Financial Services, Energy, Power, Oil and Gas and Digital Technology. She is currently employed with DXC Technologies as a Certified Scrum Master and hold a number of certifications, PMP, CSM, CPSO, CSP and Six Sigma BPM/Yellow Belt. 

A native of New Orleans, Monique graduated from Xavier University of New Orleans with a BS degree in Finance.  Then later attended UNO and UOP to complete my MBA in 2005.   She began her career in the Healthcare industry with East Jefferson General Hospital as a Financial Analyst and later as a Project Manager.   Prior to joining DXC, she was a Sr. Technical Product Manager at GE Digital. Monique even consulted for the Department of the Interior through GDIT, worked at Capital One as a Principal Project Manager and consulted for fortune global 500 companies such as Citibank in New York.    

Monique has more than 12 years of experience using various Agile Methodologies.  She first started using Extreme Programming (XP) at Capital One Bank in the IT Operations department, which aimed to produce higher quality software, and higher quality of life for the development team.  A few years later, she was reintroduced to Agile by means of the Scrum framework at Citibank and government consulting.  Currently, at DXC she is a Lead Scrum Master using a combination of Scale Agile and Scrum frameworks. Monique served as a Guest Lecturer for Loyola University in New Orleans to speak on Agile and Project Management. 


President Elect

Sylvia Donado, PMP is the current PMIGNO president, her dedication to PMI speaks for itself!  She works in scheduling / project controls for Vali Cooper International, LLC with her most recent project experience being for the DOE and VA. She has over 10 years’ experience in the construction and engineering industry including projects for the USACE, Valero Refinery, The School Board of Broward County, The City of Baton Rouge, and The University of Miami. She received her BA in 2003 from Columbia College Chicago with an Interior Architecture concentration beginning her career in hospitality design.

She became involved with PMI in 2009 after moving to New Orleans. She was also previously the secretary/treasurer for the Construction Management Association, S. Florida Chapter.

A native of Chicago, she is fluent in Spanish and in her spare time likes dancing, drawing/painting, writing poetry, smoking a good cigar and reading scheduling/ project management resource books.


 

Vice President of Administration

 Mandy Anderson, MBA, PMP has over 10 years of experience in project and program management.  She has worked in a variety of positions over her almost 25 total years of working experience including Accounting, Supply Chain, Inventory Control, Six Sigma, Application Support, Project and Program Management and Leadership.   Mandy is currently employed with Entergy Corporation and was recently named the Interim IT PMO Manager.  She hold a number of certifications: PMP, SA and has a Six Sigma Black Belt certification. 

Mandy received a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Winona State University in Minnesota.  She has a MBA from the University of Phoenix and is currently pursuing a Master of Science degree in Business Analytics from Bellevue University (graduating in March of 2019).  Mandy relocated to New Orleans a year ago from Peoria, Illinois where she had been employed by Caterpillar, Inc. for 16 years.  


 

Vice President of Education

 Taofeeq, A. Ashiru, DBA, PMP, MCIPS is a multi-skilled, results-focused professional, innovative leader, and strategic problem solver with over 29 years’ experience spanning the energy industry, manufacturing, and academics with over 20 years of this period spent working in the energy sector (Royal Dutch Shell) covering activities in procurement and logistics, human resources, and project delivery. His broad skills set include: Project management, Innovation management, Supply chain management, Facilitation and interface management, Quantitative/qualitative research, Business strategy and analysis, Concept identification and development, Process improvement and optimization, Communications, Safety engineering, Training and Coaching/mentoring. 

He has worked with people of diverse culture in countries such as the United States of America, Canada, United Kingdom, Netherlands, France, Nigeria, Gabon, and Cameroon.

His educational background includes a DBA (Doctor of Business Administration) with a specialization in project management from the Capella University, MBA (Executive master’s in business administration) from the University of Toledo, Diploma in Supply Chain Management from the Institute of Procurement and Supply, United Kingdom, M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Lagos and a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from Obafemi Awolowo University. He is a certified project management professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute, a certified supply chain professional (MCIPS) from the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply, a certified NVivo expert (NVivo is a software for analyzing unstructured and semi-structured data), and an Innovation Management licensed practitioner with Innovation360.

Having exited Royal Dutch Shell in March 2017 on early retirement, he is currently an independent business consultant that helps organizations chart their ways into new territories by doing the right projects using advanced tools and techniques of project management, innovation management, and data analytics. He is also an adjunct professor at Southern New Hampshire University and New England College of Business both in the U.S, where he impacts lives of graduate business students through knowledge sharing and research supervision. 


 

Vice President of Marketing

Ashly Banks, MBA, PMP is an accomplished project manager and business professional with 10+ years of experience managing complex projects for large corporations and government organizations. Ashly received her Bachelor of Arts in English from Louisiana State University.

An avid proponent of higher education, she went on to obtain a Masters Degree of Business Administration at the University of Phoenix. Fueling her passion for the field of business, Ashly is a certified Project Manager Professional, Certified Grant Writer®, and licensed real estate agent. She is currently a Staff Project Manager and Scrum Master at Baker Hughes, a GE Company. Ashly is also an independent business development consultant, assisting future entrepreneurs with business plans and proposals.

In Ashly’s spare time, she enjoys the company of her loving family and mentoring young ladies attending the local colleges and universities. Always looking to empower women and girls around her.  Ashly’s life motto is “if you have knowledge, let others light their candles in it.” 


VP of Membership

Krystel Hurd is a current member of the PMIGNO chapter looking for the next volunteer opportunity. I am a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi, and I have 5 years of experience in Project Controls and Scheduling. I am currently employed by Syncom Space Services as a Project Controls Cost Engineer at the NASA Michoud Assembly Facility. I look forward to opportunities to serve on the board of the local PMI chapter.


Vice President of Programs (2 candidates for this role) 

1. Robert A. Rowlette, Jr. COL(ret), P.E., PMP is a Kentucky native, Bob attended the University of Kentucky on a 4 Year U.S. Army ROTC scholarship and received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. He entered active duty with the U.S. Army in May 1979. He served at Fort Belvoir, VA, Louisville District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), and Fort Rucker, AL where he commanded Charlie Company of the 46th Engineer Battalion. Following his tour at Fort Rucker, Captain Rowlette returned to the University of Kentucky and obtained his Master of Science in Civil Engineering in preparation for duty at West Point, NY. CPT Rowlette was assigned to the United States Military Academy as an Associate Professor of Mathematics. Upon completion of this assignment Major Rowlette attended the U.S. Army’ Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, KS. Subsequently MAJ Rowlette was assigned to Schoffield Barracks, HI; Fort McPherson, GA; Commanded the Charleston District of the USACE; and served at The Army’s Personnel Center in Washington, DC. Subsequently COL Rowlette attended the Canadian Forces College in Toronto, Canada and then was assigned as the Commander of the Louisville District of the USACE. COL retired from active duty upon completion of his command at Louisville District after 26 + years of active duty service.

COL (ret) Rowlette then became the VP of Construction for Meritage Homes in Orlando, FL. He worked there for two years before coming to New Orleans to serve as the Program Manager and Team Leader for a Joint Venture Team to provide Program and Project Management Support for the Greater New Orleans Hurricane and Storm Damage Risk Reduction System (HSDRRS). He and LTC (ret) Brett Perry formed a PPM Support Company, Sapper Solutions, LLC in late 2017 and continue to provide Program and Project Management Support to the New Orleans District USACE for the HSDRRS and BBA18 Programs including standing up a PMO at New Orleans District.

Bob is a registered Professional Engineer and PMP certified by PMI. He is an active member of the Society of American Military Engineers, American Society of Civil Engineers, and PMI

2.  Aline S. Vogt, MS, PMP is an accomplished IT Project Manager, with more than 10 years of experience successfully leading teams in the development, testing and implementation of enterprise-wide systems. She received her Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of New Orleans, and then went on to attain her Master of Computer Science from the same institution. 

Over the span of her years in IT, Aline evolved from a software developer to technical lead for University (UNO), Navy and commercial projects, and then to project management positions. Ever striving to increase her skills and share knowledge, she became a certified Project Management Professional, and then taught IT courses at the University of Phoenix. 

Aline has joined Baker Hughes, a GE company, as a Staff Technical Project Manager, utilizing skills and knowledge in agile methodologies to make her a valuable part of high-performing teams. Prior to that, she drove application design critical to improvement in business productivity and operational efficiency at International Matex Tank Terminals (IMTT). She was recognized for skills in steering requirements gathering/analysis, defining solutions, project planning and execution, and delivering projects on-time within specified quality standards. 


Vice President of Technology

 Allyson Mackay, MS, CSM, SPC  is an Application and Emerging Technology Manager in the Advisory practice of PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PwC). Prior to joining PwC, she was the head Agile coach and Agile transformation leader for all data & analytics products in BHGE. Before she led Agile transformations, Allyson was a technical product manager and application architect with the Acquisition & Integration team in GE Oil & Gas responsible for the end-to-end integration of newly acquired business application portfolios. Allyson has also held roles in software development as a QA Engineer with GE Capital and in data services with GE Aviation. From October 2016 to April 2018, Allyson was the co-lead of the New Orleans Women’s Network Hub and the co-lead for the GE Girls Camp @ Tulane University. 

Prior to joining GE in 2014, Allyson was a developer specializing in taking big ideas from small clients and using Agile to deliver innovative solutions. She also holds expertise in information research from her time working at the Matas Library at Tulane University. She is an experienced trainer, coach, and ultimately a technologist with a deep desire to challenge the status quo and deliver ‘good’ products, ideas, and services to customers. 

Allyson has a Master of Science in Information from the University of Michigan, a Master of Science in Public Health from Liverpool John Moores University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and French from Tulane University. Her career in technology is built on a solid foundation of how people and systems operate together.
