A Legacy Of Resilience

The PMI Greater New Orleans Chapter will hold its

2018 Professional Development Conference

October 13th & 14th

The PMI Greater New Orleans Chapter is proud to present its 16th Annual Professional Development Conference.  We would like to honor and thank those who have and continue to make New Orleans what it is today. With that in mind, we have chosen a program that celebrates and highlights the strength and resilience that makes New Orleans a community like no other. Resilience is what enables us as citizens and professionals in project management to rebound from difficulties and reduce long term vulnerability.

Our dynamic line up of local professionals have had a large impact in the building and rebuilding of our community through their project management and leadership.

Lt. General Russel L. Honoré (Ret.)
Commander of Joint Task Force Katrina & Global Preparedness Authority

Lt. General Russel L. Honoré helps organizations develop a culture of preparedness and problem solving with strategies for transforming individuals into take-charge leaders.

As the commander of Joint Task Force Katrina, he became known as the “Category 5 General” for his striking leadership style in coordinating military relief efforts in post-hurricane New Orleans. A decorated 37-year army veteran and global authority on leadership, Gen. Honoré is the go-to expert on CNN on emergency and disaster preparedness and Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria crisis management.

Drawing on his in-the-trenches experience managing conflicts of both the natural and man-made variety, his disciplined leadership takeaways inspire audiences in a range of fields, including business, management, government, military and education. His third book, “Don’t Get Stuck on Stupid,” challenges society in the age of the new normal—a business environment where change and unpredictability are constants, and individual resilience is mandatory.

Authentic and uplifting, Gen. Honoré delivers a bracing dose of candor in his talks with real-world leadership lessons that equip audiences with a preparedness mindset. Gen. Honore shares his no-nonsense approach to getting the job done and instills confidence in tomorrow’s leaders.
