As we welcome Rudy Simoneaux from the LA Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority

 Rudy Simoneaux currently serves as Chief of CPRA’s Engineering Division, leading the engineering efforts for the ambitious and innovative ecosystem restoration and protection projects included in the State’s Coastal Master Plan.  He also serves as the Deputy Program Manager for the Mississippi River Sediment Diversion Program, a $2 billion costal restoration program that involves design, permitting, and construction of two large-scale Mississippi River diversion projects.  He started his career as a staff engineer at CPRA upon graduation from LSU in 2003.  In his 15-year tenure, he has designed and managed multiple critical projects aimed to protect and restore Louisiana’s coast.  In addition to his work at CPRA, he is an active American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) member and has been involved in the governing bodies of ASCE since 2005. Rudy is currently the President of the Louisiana Section of ASCE, which serves more than 2000 civil engineers across the state.  Rudy has been happily married for 12 years to his wife Claire, and has three kids - Anna Claire (7), Joseph (3), and Mary Grace (1).
